Well-Being Concert

September 19, 2024 Resnick Education Wing, Carnegie Hall

An intimate and open-hearted Well-Being Concert by vocalist Sarah Elizabeth Charles and pianist Jarrett Cherner, with special guest harpist Brandee Younger. This special concert experience is presented as part of UNGA Healing Arts Week 2024.

Be uplifted by an intimate and open-hearted Well-Being Concert by vocalist Sarah Elizabeth Charles and pianist Jarrett Cherner, with special guest harpist Brandee Younger. This special concert experience, presented as part of UNGA Healing Arts Week 2024, is a communal expression of self-care and mindfulness, animated by evidence that music helps people heal and thrive. An acclaimed composer and singer, Charles is a recent audience favorite in Carnegie Hall’s Well-Being concerts. In Cherner, she finds an ideal musical partner whose emotionally rich piano playing beautifully complements her multilayered vocals. The duo’s superb debut project—Tone—touches on themes embedded in “being kind to and loving oneself”—and then sharing that loving-kindness outward into the world. Younger, a boundary-stretching harpist who has worked with cultural icons including Common, Lauryn Hill, and John Legend, joins the duo for this soul-nourishing concert.

Audience members can choose from a variety of casual and comfortable seating options, with mats, cushions, and chairs all available on a first-come, first-served basis.

After the concert, join us for the Healing Arts Week reception to celebrate the arts and health community in NYC. This reception, including cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, is hosted in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Terrace Room and iconic rooftop Weill Terrace (weather permitting).

This event is by private invitation only.
