This event will be presented in collaboration with the NYC Health + Hospitals Arts in Medicine department. This workshop collaborates with a museum educator, a Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and hospital participants to create a safe and contemplative environment to reflect on their experiences through artwork-led discussions, artmaking, and reflective writing. Art observation embedded in medical curricula has proven benefits that explores shared experience, deepens empathy and contributes to greater team cohesion.
Come experience it first hand at one of the world’s most established art institutions and learn how the Arts in Medicine department at NYC Health + Hospitals has incorporated it into their programmatic offerings.
